Today we discussed schools and when I attended school. I read " Once Upon an Ordinary school Day".
The children had several questions on my school days and talked about where they are going to school. We talked about co-educational schooling. So if that comes up in conversation thats why.
Feel free to comment here about what your child brings up at home about their happenings at kindergarten.

Thank you for letting us know what is happening at kindergarten Malcolm. Whilst I hear some stories, some days all I hear is "I can't remember"!
I like the blog's facelift too!
Jude
Good on you Malcolm. Very insightful and a great way to stimulate some fun conversations with our little ones!
Could you please help us.... Sami has been talking alot about a book you read called "Noo Nnoo's" (?) that she absolutely loved. The problem is she has been trying to remember one of the characters in that story, a boy whose name starts with "M" and she doesn't think it is a long name. We've been through many male names long and short starting with "M" but to no avail! It's driving us both NUTS and she keeps forgetting to ask you at kinder!
She's been talking abit about kinder rules - in particular the no walking outside with socks rule, the no running with scissors rule and the no talking mat rule - this one sounded serious!
She loved having Tilly there the other day and said she is a good licker!!
Cheers,
Kathy
Kathy the book is called The Last Noo Noo, by Jill Murphy, and the character is Marlin. And thanks everyone for your comments. And Stella it did occur to me the other day that you are suddenly thrust out of the loop, so I hope we can keep you as informed as possible. Cheers Malcolm
